Attorney Melissa Anderson

Melissa A. Anderson is a seasoned litigator whose practice focuses on complex business, commercial, and employment litigation, as well as emergency injunctive relief. She has successfully represented clients in federal, state, and appellate courts as well as before administrative agencies and during government investigations. Her advocacy has been described by clients, as well as adversaries, as “excellent,” “articulate,” and “forceful.” She has been named a Pennsylvania Rising Star for business litigation.

Melissa also works proactively with her clients to avoid the prospect of litigation by conducting internal investigations to assess and mitigate risk, advising on compliance issues or recommending best practices, negotiating, drafting, or revising contracts to better protect a client’s assets and legal interests, providing advisory legal opinions, and monitoring the legislative and regulatory landscape for client impact.

Previously, Melissa served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Edwin M. Kosik, U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, as well as a pro se law clerk in both the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Middle District of Pennsylvania. While studying law at the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law, Melissa was a member of the University of Richmond Law Review, the Trial Advocacy Board, and the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board. In addition, she interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, where she advocated in court on behalf of the United States under her third-year practice certificate in both civil and criminal cases. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
